Sea kidney Luciferase has been used as a reporter gene to study gene regulation and function in vitro and in vivo. It is usually used for multiple transcriptional reporter gene detection or as a standardized transfection control for firefly Luciferase detection. Renila Luciferase is a 36000 Dalton monomer protein that catalyzes the oxidation of coelenterazine by oxygen to produce light. The activity of this enzyme does not require post translational modification and can serve as a genetic reporter gene immediately after translation. Coelenterazine also emits light through enzyme independent oxidation, a process called self luminescence. Superoxide anions and peroxynitrite in cells and tissues enhance self luminescence. This test kit uses a special buffer formula, which aims to conduct reliable linear measurement of Luciferase activity in the sea and kidney with the minimum self luminous background and excellent sensitivity.

Note: This reagent kit is a flash type luminescence detection that requires immediate measurement of luminescence after adding reagents to your sample. It requires a single tube luminescent meter or a luminescent enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay instrument with a reagent syringe.

Easy to use for consistent results

This kit is a new improved substitute for Haishen Luciferase Test Kit (Catalog No. 30004). In addition to providing a simplified experimental scheme, Renilla Luciferase Test Kit 2.0 also has Biotium Aquaphile ™  Coelenterazine, a water-soluble substrate, is different from coelenterazine's methanol solution. It can be stored at - 20 ° C with the minimum evaporation.

The measurement quantity is based on a 96 well measurement format. This kit contains sufficient passive lysis buffer to perform the specified number of measurements within the plate size range of 96 to 24 wells.
